THE mysterious Baltic Sea Anomaly could be just one of a series of crashed UFOs on the seabed, an expert has claimed.
Speculation has surrounded the 200ft wide object with its “staircase leading to a dark hole” since it was first discovered by oceanographers in 2012.
The Baltic Sea Anomaly bears a striking resemblance to the Star Wars Millennium Falcon and its steel grey appearance has prompted claims it could be a crashed UFO.
A UFO expert says the strange object, which was found 300ft below the Baltic, could just be the tip of the iceberg.
Mr Castledine told Express.co.uk: “My own opinions upon looking at the sonar scans of the surrounding area, is that I feel there is visual evidence of more unusual anomalies, with unnatural shapes, accompanied by scours in the sea bed, which I feel demand further analysis.”
Baffled oceanographers say despite the structure looking like a rock, it appears to be made of metal.
The mystery deepens following claims electric and satellite diving equipment cuts out when near the Anomaly.
Mr Castledaine said: “Reports have been made by the Ocean X team of problems with electric equipment when within a 200-metre radius the object, as if it is emitting a field that interferes with equipment.
“The team’s biggest sceptic, Peter Lindberg, has officially been converted. In a telephone interview he has mentioned that now he believes the anomaly to be a very special object, and the whole pursuit for the truth surrounding it, is becoming a very special experience for him and his team.”
Mr Castledine, who runs the Mystery History channel on YouTube, said further investigation is needed.
“It’s on a raised surface of about six metres in height, as if it came to rest after carving into the Earth, a substantial area of what appears to be a scraped-out seabed is immediately to one side, which gives it the uncanny appearance of a crash-landed craft.
“A sample recovered by divers was reportedly found to contain limonite and goethite. Israeli geologist Steve Weiner claimed that these materials are metals which nature could not reproduce itself.
The UFO researcher said Ocean X is now looking for investment to continues its investigation.
Geology professor Volker Brucherz said the structure could have formed in the Ice Age and could be at least 140,000 years old.
