People in 17 states found themselves unable to buy groceries with their food stamp debit-style cards Saturday after a routine check by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a system failure.

Xerox spokeswoman Karen Arena tells USA TODAY that some Electronic Benefits Transfer systems were experiencing connectivity issues after a routine test of a backup system at a location in the Midwest caused an outage at about 10 a.m. ET. The test was part of a regular , Arena said.
Xerox started receiving calls soon afterward.

"I understand right now that the system is back up and running,'' Arena said early Saturday evening. "But some states may be experiencing connectivity" issues.

U.S. Department of Agriculture spokeswoman Courtney Rowe underscored that the outage is not related to the federal government shutdown. Xerox runs systems for 17 states. All were affected by the outage.

Watching the 17th (Update 7)

To continue where I left off in my Capital Controls entry, I came across this article which states that the Federal Electronic Benefits Transfer cards stopped working this morning (starting at 11AM ET, an interesting number). It has long been expected that they would turn off the welfare and food stamps to stoke unrest during the transition, so one wonders if this is the beginning of the Event or just a dry run.

It's also interesting how they announced that the government was close to a deal on the shutdown to boost the markets near the end of the week (while simultaneously slamming down gold prices)...


...and now they have dashed those hopes.

Another interesting coincidence: woo woo propagandist Cobra has announced a "window of opportunity" for the Event starting on the 18th and extending through November 1st, which is the date range the press has offered for the X-date (as noted in the previous updates of this series). This is spiritual mumbo jumbo to cover the Cabal's plans.

EBT - FOOD STAMPS NOT WORKING? ---- we have a bad thing happening in the state of maine right now.

as of a phone call  this after noon from central maine.  

i was  informed that the EBT food stamp cards are not going thru on the stores pc;s.  so i called my local store  120 miles from this source and they confirmed that the cards do not workl. so they called the state of maine. and said ,yes they are shut off.  gave no reason or warning to any one.  so  , either no funding, or pc glitch. or what hv u.  ppl are going to get pissed and desperate soon. real soon. any other state have this happening??  thank u. let ppl know./   sincerly

ps.  maybe the whole country is shut off???
