President Obama defended his
administration's massive program to collect data on innocent civilians
recently. This is a complete flip-flop from where he stood in 2005, when
he sponsored the SAFE Act, which would have made his administration's
data collection illegal, and in 2007, when he denounced data collection
as an invasion of privacy. He flip flopped on the issue, but this is not
unique in today's politics. The Resident (aka Lori Harfenist)
discusses.
