Russell Crowe has claimed he and a friend filmed a UFO while trying to capture footage of fruit bats in Sydney.
The Les Miserables and Gladiator star posted still images on YouTube of what he says could be an unidentified flying object.
Crowe said the images had been recorded in the skies above Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens.
"A friend and i (sic) set camera to capture fruit bats rising from Botanic Gardens, this was a big surprise," Crowe tweeted.
"Canon 5D, No Flash, can't be a lense flare because it moves, camera is fixed," Crowe added on his official Twitter account.
The footage was captured from a distance of about 250 metres from the gardens, which are close to Crowe's apartment in the waterfront suburb of Woolloomooloo.
